Awesome Dessert – Peanut Butter, Almonds and Cheerios = WOW!!!

I just made the ultimate dessert.

Step back – I usually bring a pretty big lunch to work so I can refuel halfway through the day. Especially after doing a 30 mile bike ride in the morning. Once I run or bike a good distance my metabolism is RAGING!!!!

So today we had a long meeting that ran through lunch. I didn’t get to eat my big handcrafted lunch. They did provide some sangwichez and chips though. They were on white bread and were OK.  So I had one and then ate the meat off of a few of them tossing the mayo soaked bread in the trash.

After dinner, knowing I was in deep caloric deficit I decided to make a awesome dessert. I grabbed a bowl, banana, almonds, handful of honey nut cheerios, dried cranberries, lean yogurt and a scoop of honey sweetened peanut butter. Smashed all that shit together and chowed down. WOW did that hit that spot!!!!!!!

I know I suck. But I was starving and needed the protein. Almonds and peanut butter ROCK!

Again, I’m one proud MoFo

In my previous post I mentioned that Keegan requested Buffalo wings and we picked some up along with some sauce.

Not just 10 minutes ago the boy finished the entire bag. I bought some marinaded Hot and Spicy Wings (Tyson – $4.99 at Hilander!) and he picked out a bottle of sauce (Frank’s).

I asked him, “If I bought them would he eat them?” he said “Yep”. Then I upped that ante a little and said, “Would you eat them all?”. He said, “Of course.”

Here are the results —wings

Beautiful Day for Baseball and Ice Cream

Shortly after dying some eggs Jack and I started getting bored. I was, for the first time in a while bored out of my frickin’ mind!!! I was just pacing around the house looking for something fun to do. Note – keyword “FUN”.

After actually saying the words, “God damn am I bored.” I proposed going to the park and playing…. something. We decided on baseball. Keegan even came with us. I have to say I’m pretty proud of these two. Jack and is seeing the ball really well and Keegan was hitting frozen ropes up the middle all day.  He has a very smooth swing that many people practice years to achieve.

After baseball we stopped at the store and got a treat. The boy’s opted for Nestle’s finest, the Drumstick and a Crunch Bar filled Ice Cream Bar.

To end the trip we walked across the street and scored some buffalo wings and sauce for Keegan. He’ll have some indigestion tonight for sure.

I’m a proud Dad (+stepdad) today.
